Being a Mother

These two...they have blessed my life more that I could possible imagine!

Neither one of my pregnancies was as planned, but I am so glad that they both happened. I remember when I first found out I was pregnant with both of them I was terrified at first. With Ari I didn't think I was ready. We were living with room mates that the time and I had no idea how that would turn out. I had 2 dogs that kept me busy enough and I was still in school.

Ari wasn't even a year old when I found out I was pregnant with Hunter. Honestly, I was really angry when I first found out. I was in denial as well. I didn't want another baby yet. Ari was still so young. The first few months after Hunter was as born were definitly challenging, but I look at the relationship Ari and Hunter have now and I would not change a thing.

These two have changed and blessed my life beyond words. They have taught me so much and always inspire me to be better.

I want the best for these two. I want them to grow up happy, independant and giving. I want them to see the best in those around them and look for  the positive in all situations. I want them to have fun and not take advantage of what they are given. I want them to look back on their childhood and think, "my mom tried really hard." And "I had a pretty good childhood." Most importantly I want them to know that they are loved, so very much!

Sunshine Makes Me Happy

Until it rains....

But at least I had a good view.

Luckily the rain cleared up again later in the day, so we had a second chance to enjoy the park.

And see some baby ducks!

We enjoyed some yummy treats

I'm excited for this week, sunshine and warm weather!!!

We found a new park!

As my journey to becoming more active healthy and fit continues and with the weather getting nicer I have been taking the kids on more walks. Usually its not too far, just to the park down the street from us, or around the neighborhood behind our apartment complex. Today I decided to switch it up and take the trail down the road. I heard that there was a duck pond down the trail and I figured the kids would like to see it. Its still a little too early for ducks, but we found an awesome little park. The kids loved it, so I think we'll make going there a frequent occurrence. They'll get to play and I'll get my exercise (pushing a 50 lb + stroller about a mile up and down several hills)!
